Message from Jonathon
Life can become two dimensional. You have a body, mind and perhaps even a spirit. Oddly enough, we perceive life in three dimensions. Could there be a connection? When we watch TV, we have to "make up" a lot about what is happening. The drama has to be intense to keep our attention or we will soon be flipping away. Real life has millions of high definition experiences to choose from, so what keeps us focussed in one place? While drama is endlessly engaging, it flattens our perception and engages our neural patters in such a monotonous way that our fix on life becomes stale. Our memory of joy reduced to a whisper in the torrent of pain and confusion. Three dimensional life requires tuning into spirit and tuning out drama. With a bit of effort, a stick figure can develop curves and depth offering grater purchase for life. We push the walls of our existence out so that there is room for compassion and understanding, shoring up the framework of our elegant geometry so that it may withstand the impossible forces of great knowing. When life becomes two dimensional it's long past time to fly. Do something about it and we'll see you in the sky. Jonathon
