Closest Subway Routes:
Take the 1, 2, 3, A, C, or E subway to 34th St. (Penn Station). From there walk south to 30th St. and then west to 518 W 30th, just past 10th Ave. Or, take the 1 train to 28th street; walk 2 blocks north to 30th St., then 3.5 blocks west. We are located on the South side of West 30th Street. The walk is about 10 minutes from any of these subway stops.
Closest Bus Routes:
Nearby bus routes include the M11, which runs south on 9th avenue and north on 10th avenue, and the M20 runs south on 7th avenue and north on 8th avenue. Cross town routes include the M34, which runs east and west along 34th Street.
From New Jersey by transit:
Take the NJ PATH train to 33rd Street. From 33rd Street walk 3 blocks south to 30th Street, then 4.5 blocks west.
From New Jersey and Staten Island by Ferry:
Ferries to Manhattan run regularly from Staten Island to South Ferry (# 1 subway) and from various NJ ports to Midtown Manhattan (38th Street) and South Ferry. NY Waterways operates free local and express buses along the West Side highway for those wishing to take the ferries for their commute.
From New York City by car:
On-street parking is available in the vicinity of TSNY but please pay close attention to the signs. Pay-parking is available at the corner of West 30th Street and 10th avenue, as well as other lots nearby.
From New Jersey by car:
To get to TSNY by car take the Lincoln Tunnel into Manhattan. From the exit ramp go westbound on 34th St. Then turn left on 11th Ave. and left again onto 30th St. Alternatively, take the Holland Tunnel into Manhattan. From the exit ramp continue westbound to the West Side Highway. Turn right onto the West Side Highway and continue northbound to West 30th Street. Make a right on to West 30th Street, then continue on to 518 West 30th Street, just past 11th Ave.
From Queens and Long Island by car:
Take the Triborough Bridge to the FDR Drive going south. Stay on the FDR to the 34th Street exit. Continue westbound on 34th street until 11th avenue; make a left onto 11th avenue, and then a left onto W 30th street.
From Brooklyn by car:
Both the Manhattan Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge are direct routes to TSNY. On the Manhattan side, the Brooklyn Bridge connects to Chambers Street, which you can take directly across town to the West Side Highway, and turn right (north) at the River. Then proceed north on the Westside Highway until you reach W 30th street. The Manhattan Bridge connects to Canal Street, which can also be followed across town to the West Side Highway. Again, turn right (north) onto the Westside Highway, take the Westside Highway to W 30th Street.
From Staten Island by car:
From Staten Island by car, you will have two options. Take either the Verrazano Bridge to Brooklyn, and follow the directions for Brooklyn above, or the Goethals Bridge to the New Jersey Turnpike, and follow the directions for access from New Jersey through the Holland Tunnel.
From Upstate NY:
Take either the George Washington Bridge or the Saw Mill Parkway/Henry Hudson Parkway to the West Side Highway. Follow the West Side highway down to W 30th Street; turn left onto W 30th St.
